Stephen is Associate Professor of Philosophy at the University of Southern California.

AJP Best Paper Award

From 2007, the AAP, in connection with Taylor and Francis (Routledge Imprint), awards an annual prize for the best paper published in the Australasian Journal of Philosophy (AJP).

The winning essay is published on the AJP online web page and winners receive a Routledge books voucher to the value of AUD$1000.

To contribute a paper to the AJP and thus be eligible for the award, please refer to the submissions instructions of the Journal. For more information on the award click here

2008 AJP Best Paper Award (Volume 85)

The winner of the AJP Best Paper Award is Jonathan Schaffer for his piece, “From Nihilism to Monism”, Australasian Journal of Philosophy, Vol 85, Issue 2, pp. 175-91.

The paper is available as a free download from the Australasian Journal of Philosophy online. Professor Schaffer was awarded his prize at the 2008 AAP Conference dinner.

2007 AJP Best Paper Award (Volume 84)

The inaugural 2007 AJP Best Paper Award was awarded to Professor John Heil for his paper 'The Legacy of Linguisticism', Australiasian Journal of Philosophy, Vol 84, Issue 2, pp. 233-44.
