Philosophy Professorship, Deakin University

Deakin philosophy is pleased to call for applications for the position of Professor of Philosophy.  The position will commence mid-2014, with applications falling due November 3 2013.  Deakin Philosophy is presently at an exciting point of its development, and we are looking for a candidate able to:

• Lead and make an outstanding contribution to the Faculty’s undergraduate teaching programs.
  
• Undertake teaching related duties in compliance with the University’s principles of teaching, learning and the student experience.
  
• Develop innovative academic programs, take a leadership role in the Discipline, and in Deakin’s ongoing course enhancement (ENHANCE) process.
  
• Supervise honours and HDR students, ensuring successful and timely completions.
  
• Advise and support the development of students regarding teaching and learning, and junior staff in their professional development.
