3-year fixed-term lectureship in Philosophy
Start
24 Feb 2012
End
18 Mar 2012
Location
Massey University, New Zealand
Applications are invited for a 3-year fixed-term lectureship in Philosophy in the School of History, Philosophy and Classics at Massey University.
The position will be based at Massey's Albany campus where papers are taught in to the Bachelor of Arts. The successful candidate will be required to deliver a selection of papers from the suite of existing papers, and capacity to teach one or more of the following areas may be advantageous: Critical Thinking, Ethics, Philosophy of Science, Recent & Contemporary Philosophy, and Environmental Philosophy. There may also be scope for the development of new offerings.
The School teaches in internal and distance delivery modes at both undergraduate and graduate levels; online teaching is of increasing importance. While most of the teaching in Albany is face-to-face, it is likely that the successful candidate will also contribute to the School's distance programme. Supervision of postgraduate research will also be expected.
The successful candidate will have an advanced qualification in the discipline, an ongoing research platform, and experience teaching at University-level.
PLEAE NOTE THE CLOSING DATE FOR APPLICATIONS IS 18 MARCH.
