Charles Sturt University is seeking expressions of interest in the following position:
Causal lecturer (Level A/B) in Philosophy at Charles Sturt University, Australia (Wagga Wagga Campus) - around 17 hours per week for session 1, and 31 hours per week for session 2.
Fixed term, 2-session, contract to commence on the 20th of February, 2012.
Lecturer would be required to be in Wagga Wagga on some days, however as much of the teaching load is delivered in distance mode some flexibility in location is possible.
Teaching responsibilities include: Theories of Human Nature, Legal and Ethical Issues in Health and a general academic skills subject which involves informal logic.
Presently, five philosophers are located at the Wagga Wagga Campus. We host weekly philosophy seminars, and the philosophy discipline maintains with close links with CAPPE - the Centre for Applied Philosophy and Public Ethics (
