Applications are invited for the position of Lecturer in Philosophy at the University of Otago.
This is a part time (0.8 FTE) position for two years from 1 February 2019 through to 30 November 2020.
We are seeking to appoint an excellent teacher and promising researcher. Please note the area of specialty is open.
The successful applicant will be required to:
- Teach between two and a half to three papers [classes/courses] per year at various levels;
- Supervise research at honours and postgraduate levels; and
- Be actively engaged in research.
Further teaching may be available.

Salary Range: $78,445 to $93,821
Note: As a part-time position, the salary range for this role will be the pro-rata equivalent of the annual full-time salary range listed.
The successful applicant for this position should have demonstrated strengths in teaching and research, and have completed or be close to completing a PhD degree.
