The philosophy programme at Massey University has just advertised a three-year fixed term lectureship in Philosophy, based on our Albany campus, which is located to the North of New Zealand’s largest city, Auckland.

This position is a new position, aimed at growing the Philosophy programme at Albany (the programme currently has one staff member based at Albany and six based on our Manawatu campus). Although the advertised position is for a three-year fixed term contract, our aspiration is for this position to demonstrate the sustainability of a second permanent philosopher at Albany.

Although we would welcome applications from candidates with any research specialities, the ability to teach political and social philosophy may be an advantage as the successful candidate will be required to develop papers that contribute to a social and political philosophy stream.

Further details about the position can be found here: http://jobs.massey.ac.nz/PositionDetail.aspx?p=8457. Closing date for applications of October 1st.

Contributed Paper Sessions

Contributed papers should normally be scheduled as 55 minute sessions, with approximately 30 minutes for presentation and 25 minutes for questions and discussion.
