2025 WINTER SCHOOL
Sunday 6 July 10am - 3pm
The AAP Winter school is an opportunity for students of philosophy, including high school students, to hear from professional philosophers and those working in areas of philosophical interest including critical thinking, writing, and public reasoning. Workshops are interactive and informative and there is no cost to attend.

Jesse Richardson
Jesse is an internationally award-winning advertising creative director, and the founder of The School of Thought International – a non-profit that has provided free critical thinking resources to more than 30 million people worldwide in 7 languages.
11.30am - 12.30pm Session Two
John Heil FAHA, Professor of Philosophy, Washington University in St Louis
Professor Heil is listed among the 50 Most Influential Living Philosophers. He works primarily in metaphysics and philosophy of mind and has teaching interests in metaphysics, logic, philosophy of mind, and early modern philosophy.

Yael Leibovitch
Dr Leibovitch is Director of Research at the University of Queensland Critical Thinking Project. She is an award-winning high school teacher of Philosophy and her research focus is on the connection between critical thinking and writing.
2.30 - 3.30pm Session Four
Nicolas Bullot
Dr Bullot works at the interface of philosophy and the cognitive and social sciences. His research investigates cultural phenomena that are distinctive of the ways human persons and groups learn and form their identities.
Organised by the AAP Undergraduate Committee, the Philosophy Winter School is a one day in person event held simultaneously with the AAP Conference and in the same location.
Senior school students studying philosophy who are interested in studying philosophy at university and undergraduate philosophy students are welcome to attend at no cost.
