Commencing next week, the 2021 AAP Conference will be held online - from 6 - 15 July 2021. For between A$15 and A$70 depending on the category, members can drop into whatever sessions they want online over this two-week period.

We have an exciting program, featuring over 150 presentations from Australasian and International scholars over wide-ranging areas in philosophy, in addition to our line up of keynote speakers: Jenann Ismael (Columbia University), Stephen Gardiner (University of Washington), Michelle Kosch (Cornell), Lewis Gordon (UCONN-Storrs), Peter Godfrey-Smith (University of Sydney) and Kate Manne (Cornell). There is also a panel on ‘Hate and misogyny online’ featuring Filipa Melo Lopes, Louise Richardson-Self and Tracy Llenara following Kate Mann’s keynote.

The Presidential Address will be given by Neil Levy on the topic “Do your own research!” and this year's Alan Saunders Lecture, held in conjunction with the ABC, will be given by Stephen Gardiner. As in previous years we offer the Postgraduate Presentation Prize for the best paper presented by a postgraduate student (see the shortlist below) and this year an Undergraduate Poster Prize for the best poster presented by an Undergraduate student.

Special sessions will be offered on online teaching and alternative academic careers, as well as a dedicated session for undergraduate students with keynote speaker Peter Godfrey-Smith.

Registrations are still OPEN through the conference website. Further information about the conference, including the full list of speakers, program, sessions and registration, can be found here:
